Got-Lan #30: Post Lan Replay
Posted by ddwagnz in Got-LAN Posts on October 24, 2011
Hi all,
thanks to all those who attended for another weekend of fragging, pizza eating and v drinking!
Friday Night:
Friday night again was everyone settling in and for some casual gaming getting everyone in the mood for sat, pizza run was again a success with the favourite pizza being meatlovers. First big game played was Zero Gear which is always good fun!
Moving along onto Call of Duty 4 and into Warsow. As the night wore on, people went home to sleep, ready for the next day of fragging!
Saturday Morning/Afternoon:
Saturday morning and afternoon was a quiet affair as people came back from sleeping and resumed playing games.
Saturday Night and the failed Sausage Sizzle:
Saturday continued to be a quiet night, and unfortunately due to a technical glitch with the gas bottle, the sausage sizzle didn’t sizzle, but luckily that was fixed with most people going for a second pizza run at Spagalimis! (Thanks Suvy for the hookup!)
Final thoughts:
Overall it was good lan, nice way to break up the long weekend, and we hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we (Got-Lan Admins) did!
We look forward to seeing you all back at #31!
Final V’s Drunk – 24
Final Pepsi’s Drunk – 24
Final Attendee Count: 21

The big 30 and farewell to a crazy man:
Got-LAN has now been running for around 7 years! For those of you that were around way back then, we’ve been through a few different venues, from all the way out at the St Martins Presbytarian Church to Burnside Elm, we’ve kept on chugging! Hopefully there will be many more to come!
On a sadder note, we farewell Charles (CraZeD), one of our admins. Unfortunately he is leaving Christchurch, destined for his home town of Dunedin.
Charles joined the admin team around 18 months ago and has been an essential part of the team throughout. We will miss him!
On a slightly lighter note, Charles is starting a LAN down south called Reboot. Some of us may have to head down to check it out!
New Website and Event Registration
Posted by CraZeD in Got-LAN Posts on August 22, 2011
Morning All,
No doubt many of you would have noticed a few small changes in the website, two of these changes are a completely new registration system for Events and a new forum.
Both of these new systems have been integrated into the site, which allows for a single fully operational registration system and login.
So what do you need to do to attend Got-LAN events?
Simply put click the register button on the front page and register for the site, thats it, when an event is announced, you login to the site, you click on the “Event Signup” tab and and click Register, thats it. This will however only work for those who have registered for the site.
Through this login on the site, it will also give you seamless access to the forums as well, where you can ask any questions you need to, or comment on something that is happening.
If you need help or are not 100% sure on something, please feel free to contact one of the admins on steam, IRC or MSN and we can talk you through it.
A few changes
